Biography
Frederik Jacobsen entered the world on 12 September 1876 and spent the next forty-five years shuttling between ink-stained pages and the glow of footlights. Moviegoers still whisper about his haunted face in Den kære Afdøde (1912), his frantic energy in Hjælpen (1913), and the wry charm he lent Hans gode Genius (1922). When the final curtain fell on 4 September 1922, Denmark lost a storyteller who had only just begun to show what silence could say.
