Jack Connolly first drew breath on 15 July 1889 amid the thin, sun-shot air of Denver, Colorado. Silent-era audiences later met him through the one-reel whirlwind of Graft (1915), the fairy-tale spoof Milady o' the Beanstalk (1918), and the diplomatic romp The Little Diplomat (1919).
