Biography
A cornerstone of early 20th-century cinema, Joseph Klein began his life’s journey on January 3, 1862, in Brünn, Austria-Hungary (modern-day Brno, Czech Republic). Navigating the evolving world of film as both a director and a performer, he became a recognizable figure through his work in the ambitious 1919 serial 'Die Herrin der Welt,' appearing in both Part 1 ('Die Freundin des gelben Mannes') and Part 4 ('König Macombe'). His artistry also extended to the landmark 1920 production of 'Anna Boleyn.' Klein, who was married to Elisabeth Hruby, remained a dedicated figure in the arts until his passing in Berlin, Germany, on September 24, 1927.
