A native of Rochelle, Illinois, born on November 30, 1874, Lloyd Ingraham established himself as a versatile powerhouse during the formative years of American cinema. Excelling as both a director and an actor, his career is highlighted by his contributions to the 1916 epic Intolerance, as well as his work on At the Sign of the Jack O'Lantern (1922) and Don Mike (1927). Ingraham shared his life with two partners, Maude May Plopper and Blanche M. Stoddard. After a prolific tenure in the industry, he passed away in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, on April 4, 1956.
