Biography
Nancy, France, greeted Rosita Marstini on 19 September 1887, gifting the silver-screen one of its earliest continental firebrands. She stormed into silent-era fame as the temptress in 1917’s *A Tale of Two Cities*, twirled through the bullring drama of *Blood and Sand* in 1922, and navigated the shadowy underworld of *The Red Lily* two years later. Off-camera she shared her life with fellow performer Paul Sablon. Half a globe away, in Los Angeles, California, her final curtain fell on 24 April 1948.
