Al Parker (Al Wilson), an aviator and Secret Service agent, is assigned to investigate a gang of bandits who have been robbing a platinum mine on the Mexican-American border. The superintendent of the mine, John Ames (Emmett King), is killed when he discovers a secret passage used by the bandits, and his daughter, Edith (Virginia Brown Faire), assumes the running of the mine. Edith is kidnapped by the gang's leader, McLeod (Lee Shumway), who makes his escape in a waiting airplane. When Bruce sees the wheel fall off, he straps a spare to his back, gives aerial chase, transfers to the plane in midair, and bolts the wheel in place. Bruce later discovers Zella in Juan's embrace and quickly realizes that he is really in love with her sister, Blythe. Juan captures Bruce and Blythe and takes the latter hostage in his plane.
