Lilian Lee arrives in Japan to take over a tea plantation that has been left to her. She is befriended by a tea planter, Kent, and arouses the desire of a Chinese man with a Western education, Fu Chow. Kent's young manager makes love to her and, thinking Kent does not actually love her, she agrees to go with him. Kidnapped, she is about to suffer nameless degradation when Kent rescues her, proving his love is genuine.
