Biography
February 9, 1872, Vienna greeted the arrival of Carl Wilhelm, the future filmmaker whose lens would fix three early classics in place: Frau Annas Pilgerfahrt (1915), Die Sippschaft (1920), and Das Haus der Qualen (1921).
