Between Dangers

In the dusty twilight of the silent Western era, Between Dangers presents a gritty narrative of systemic corruption and stolen identity. Tom Rawlins, a rugged cowhand portrayed with athletic sincerity by Buddy Roosevelt, finds himself the rightful heir to a sprawling ranching estate. However, the transition from laborer to landowner is violently derailed by a syndicate of predatory lawyers who specialize in the legal theft of the frontier. By orchestrating a frame-up that lands Rawlins in a jail cell and stripping him of his vital identification papers, these white-collar villains attempt to erase his existence. The film pivots from a traditional range drama into a proto-noir thriller as Rawlins must rely on the moral compass of Sue Conway, the sheriff’s daughter, to navigate a world where the law has been weaponized against the innocent.
