Summary
A moonlit Riviera casino exhales gilt smoke; inside, a gentleman cracks safes with the serenity of a poet while a siren in silk lifts diamond chokers as though harvesting dew. Their eyes lock across a roulette wheel spinning like a vortex of moral relativity—two virtuoso thieves who have already stripped themselves of pasts, now stripping the world. Each heist becomes a pas de deux: he disables alarms with a violinist’s delicacy, she vaults balconies in heels sharp enough to carve identity. Pursued by detectives who are more infatuated with artistry than justice, the lovers orchestrate a final swindle—selling the very museum that houses their legend—only to vanish into dawn, pockets barren of everything except the vertiginous certainty that love itself is the rarest loot.
