Le ravin sans fond
Summary
Alpine dusk bleeds across jagged granite as a silver-haired Count, crampons biting ancient ice, sketches his own mortality in the margin of a crumbling will. Below, his scheming niece—eyes like thawing hail—and her cash-strapped husband rehearse a murderous ballet: a loosened piton, a feigned cry, a body swallowed by a fog-choked ravine that digests secrets faster than vultures. Six lunar cycles later, the same man—face carved by frost and vengeance—emerges from glacial shadows, pockets heavy with evidence, smile honed to surgical sharpness. One by one he visits the conspirators, gifting them mirrors that reflect the precise shape of their guilt until each soul confesses in a tremor worthy of Greek tragedy. The final shot frames the Count atop a blood-orange summit, silhouetted against a sun that refuses to set, testament that some graves are merely temporary inconveniences.
