In a world teetering on the brink of absurdity, two bumbling laboratory assistants find themselves thrust into geopolitical chaos when their eccentric employer, Professor Alistair Finch, invents 'Project Kronch'—explosive peanuts designed to decimate enemy forces through gastrointestinal detonation. As foreign emissaries descend upon Finch's cluttered workshop like vultures, our protagonists Bertram (Joe Rock) and Cecil (Earl Montgomery) must deploy slapstick espionage tactics involving malfunctioning peanut dispensers, cross-dressing disguises, and a romance subplot with Finch's suffragette daughter who mistakes their covert operations for courtship. The narrative escalates into a fever-pitch finale where diplomatic negotiations dissolve into anarchic food fights, with lethal legumes triggering synchronized explosions beneath bewildered ambassadors.
