In a delightful subversion of the typical rags-to-riches narrative, Charley, a man whose primary ambition seems to be the avoidance of gainful employment, meanders through life with a charming, almost deliberate indolence. His half-hearted quest for a professional berth is less a desperate search and more a series of accidental encounters, a passive drift through the urban landscape.
