Summary
Bud Doyle, a man with a troubled past, returns from war with the intention of leaving his crooked ways behind, but his rugged features and dubious reputation make it difficult for him to start anew. As he tries to reintegrate into society, his wife, her new companion Joe Culver, and the cunning Boss McQuarg concoct a scheme to frame him, leading to his imprisonment. However, fate intervenes when Bud escapes, suffers an accident, and undergoes a transformative plastic surgery that alters his appearance. With his new face, he sets out to uncover the truth behind the conspiracy against him, joining forces with District Attorney Carlson to bring the perpetrators to justice. Along the way, he finds love and redemption with his nurse, who helps him to heal and start anew.
Synopsis
Crook Bud Doyle returns from the war intending to go straight but finds it difficult because of his crook-like features. His wife, her new companion Joe Culver, and Boss McQuarg conspire to frame Bud, and he goes to jail. He escapes, has an accident, and is taken to a hospital for plastic surgery. His features transformed, he discovers the plot against him, helps District Attorney Carlson bring the conspirators to justice, and marries his nurse.
