In the quaint world of early 20th-century dairy farming, the earnest but often clumsy Puffy finds his heart captivated by Mildred, the daughter of a struggling small dairy proprietor. Her father's business faces imminent collapse, threatened by the predatory tactics of a powerful, monolithic trust that systematically poaches his workforce. Driven by love and a desire to prove his worth, Puffy gallantly steps into the breach, volunteering his services to keep the dairy afloat. His well-intentioned efforts, however, inevitably lead to a series of escalating comedic misfortunes. From an ill-advised attempt to milk a bull, resulting in chaotic self-inflicted injury, to the rivals’ cunning substitution of a high-strung racehorse for the sturdy milk wagon steed, Puffy becomes the unwitting victim of spilled products and runaway chaos. Yet, through sheer perseverance and a stroke of unexpected ingenuity, Puffy ultimately outmaneuvers the corporate antagonists, securing not only the dairy's prosperity but also his place as a partner in the thriving enterprise, and presumably, Mildred's affection.
