The Perils of Pauline
Summary
A porcelain-fragile heiress, Pauline, is hurled through a gauntlet of locomotive cliffhangers, subterranean gas explosions, runaway dirigibles and crocodile-infested rivers while her silk-gloved “guardian” keeps rewriting her obituary in advance, each cliff-edge tableau a new brushstroke on cinema’s first true comic-strip canvas—twenty breathless episodes that stitch Victorian melodrama to modern adrenaline, fusing nickelodeon innocence with Grand Guignol menace until the final reel slams shut like a guillotine on the villain’s smile.
Synopsis
Pauline, a young maiden, must protect herself from the treacherous "guardian" of her inheritance, who repeatedly plots to murder her and take the money for himself.
