Mildred Garson, an aspiring ingenue and the devoted fiancée of acclaimed dramatist Anthony Moore, yearns to embody the leading lady in his latest theatrical endeavor—a gritty crook drama. Driven by a desire to prove her dramatic prowess, her well-meaning but misguided siblings, Jim and Rita, concoct an elaborate charade: a staged home invasion at Moore's opulent residence. Their amateurish theatricality, however, takes a terrifying turn when genuine malefactors, led by the notorious Dan "The Fox" Grogan, crash their performance, escalating the farce into a brutal reality. A butler falls, shot, and Mildred is violently abducted. Resourceful and defiant, she orchestrates a perilous escape, serendipitously finding sanctuary in the contemplative world of Chong Wo, a sagacious Chinese philosopher. This unexpected alliance culminates in a climactic showdown, where Wo's strategic acumen outwits Grogan, ensuring his apprehension.
