Summary
Wanda, a spirited young woman, finds herself ensnared by the suffocating dictates of her overbearing aunt. This formidable matriarch, with an iron will, has meticulously selected a suitor for Wanda – a man Wanda finds utterly unpalatable, a symbol of the life she refuses to lead. Yet, Wanda harbors her own clandestine affections, her heart set on another. The aunt, undeterred by Wanda's silent rebellion, proceeds with the unwelcome nuptials. However, on the cusp of this forced union, Wanda's true love, with audacious cunning, intercepts the legitimate minister. Assuming the clergyman's guise, he orchestrates a chaotic ceremony, culminating in the swift incapacitation of the intended groom. In a whirlwind of calculated deception, he absconds with Wanda. Meanwhile, the aunt, ever opportunistic, seizes the moment of the jilted suitor's vulnerability, turning the tables to secure her own unexpected matrimonial alliance.
Wanda is dominated by a prim aunt, who picks for Wanda what the latter considers an impossible suitor. As Wanda has her own idea about suitors, she elects to marry another. The aunt arranges for the wedding with the undesirable suitor, while the rival intercepts the minister, and disguised, serves in that capacity himself. He blackjacks the intended groom, elopes with the girl, while aunty takes advantage of the injured man's condition and marries him herself.
