Honestly? Only if you are the type of person who spends their Sunday afternoons scrolling through public domain archives or hunting for the strangest things in Between Showers. It is a weird, disjointed, and utterly bizarre little short. If you want a narrative, you’ll hate it. If you want to see a lion get a blood transfusion for no apparent reason, you might be delighted. 🦁
It starts with a ferryboat for kids, which feels normal enough until you realize the pacing is just… non-existent. It just jumps from one thing to another like the editor was trying to finish the reel before their lunch break.
The lion scene? Yeah, that happens. I spent way too long trying to figure out why a lion needed a transfusion in what looks like someone’s backyard. It’s the kind of moment that makes you pause and go, "Wait, did I just see that?"
It’s not trying to be Manslaughter or anything with actual stakes. It’s just a collage of the strange. It feels less like a movie and more like finding a box of old photos in an attic that don't belong to your family.
Sometimes the camera just lingers on a woman managing a zoo, and it feels like she’s just as confused about being filmed as I am watching it. It’s not profound, it’s just there. And honestly? That’s kind of the charm.
If you’re looking for something to put on in the background while you fold laundry, this works. Just don't expect it to explain itself. It won't.
