Biography
Ed Brady drew his first breath on 6 December 1889 amid the electric chaos of New York City. A lifetime later—though only fifty-two years—he exhaled for the last time under the palm-lined skies of Los Angeles on 31 March 1942. Between those two coasts he built a screen career that roared from the silent-era blaze of *Fires of Rebellion* (1917) to the dust-and-six-gun snap of *Law of the West* (1932) and on to the mist-shrouded excitement of *Son of Kong* (1933). Off-camera, he shared his life with actress Lillian West, his wife and frequent co-star.
