Biography
Stina Berg first drew breath on 21 October 1869 amid the cobblestones and gaslight of Stockholm. Over the next six decades she built a career that flickered to life on Scandinavia’s early cinema screens: she haunted the title role in Charlotte Löwensköld (1930), sparked mischief in Anderssonskans Kalle (1922), and slipped through the snow-misted frames of Den vita demonen (1925). Off-camera she shared her life with fellow performer Martin Karlson. Her final curtain fell on 5 October 1930 in Bromma, still within the city whose streets had shaped her.
