Having survived the war unscathed, Sim Paris returns home to England and finds that his older brother Charles is so engrossed in making money that he is losing the love of his wife; another brother, who is caring for an invalided relative in expectation of a remembrance in the will, is also losing his wife to the doctor attending the invalid. The male nurse discovers her secret and blackmails the wife.
