Summary
Max Fleischer, exhausted after a day of relentless ambition, retreats to his modest loft, slipping beneath the thin sheets as night deepens. Unseen by his slumbering host, Ko‑Ko, a sentient wind‑spirit bound to the jagged summit of an ancient mountain, teeters on the brink of a sheer precipice. The moment Max's eyelids close, the mountain’s breath stirs, and Ko‑Ko, no longer content to linger in the thin air, is thrust into a vortex of gale‑force turbulence. He battles the howling currents, each gust a razor‑sharp blade that threatens to shred his ethereal form. In his frantic descent, he collides with a colossal stone guardian—an ageless giant whose stone ribs creak under the strain of the storm. The clash reverberates through the crags, sending shards of rock spiralling like meteors. Emerging from the mountain’s maw, Ko‑Ko breaches the veil between myth and mundanity, materialising in Max’s cramped apartment. The spirit, now a swirling amalgam of wind and fury, confronts the sleeping Max, intent on exacting a revenge forged from the mountain’s wrath and the betrayal of abandonment. The narrative spirals between the stark, wind‑swept heights and the claustrophobic interior, weaving a tale of forgotten promises, elemental vengeance, and the thin line separating dream from nightmare.
