Summary
In the tumultuous life of Jimmie, a hapless married man, the vicissitudes of fate have dealt a crushing blow, rendering him dispossessed and bereft of the means to pay his rent. His furniture, wife, and baby are callously thrown out by the irate landlord, leaving the family in a state of utter destitution. It is at this juncture that a visionary inventor, who has concocted a revolutionary 'house-aeroplane', intervenes and offers the family a novel mode of shelter. However, the inventor's caveat that the husband should refrain from attempting to 'fly' the house-boat until further instructions are provided falls on deaf ears, as Jimmie's eagerness to 'sail' proves too great to resist. Consequently, the great propeller is set in motion, and the family of three finds itself embarked on an extraordinary adventure, replete with the thrill of living 'sky high'.
