Istanbul'da Bir Facia-i Ask

Set against the melancholic, soot-stained backdrop of Armistice-era Istanbul, 'Istanbul'da Bir Facia-i Ask' unfolds as a harrowing exploration of obsessive devotion and the shattering of the self. The narrative centers on Mediha, a woman navigating the cosmopolitan yet precarious social circles of the Şişli district. Her decision to sever ties with Kemal, a man whose love has fermented into a quiet, desperate fixation, triggers a descent into a Gothic melodrama of class subversion and psychological trauma. Kemal, unable to extricate his soul from Mediha’s orbit, infiltrates her domestic sanctuary by assuming the role of a domestic servant in the household she shares with her new paramour.
