Summary
An aging gridiron titan, his marrow still vibrating with the roar of forgotten stadiums, funnels his bruised glory into the sinews of his daughter’s suitor, demanding a heir who bleeds victory.Enter Ernie—a pocket-sized Icarus, ribbed by locker-room jests, dismissed as mere cub—who pirouettes through a gauntlet of mud, doubt, and sneering shoulder-pads, the ball tucked against his fluttering heart like a secret promise. On the final down, beneath bruise-colored lights, he threads destiny between cleats and cartilage, hoisting underdogs and dreams alike into the end zone, while the girl who once pitied his stature now stands, mouth ajar, eyes molten, ready to love the giant disguised as a half-pint.
