Summary
A spectral enchantress materializes amid the marble arches of Renaissance Florence, her allure a venomous perfume that seeps into the marrow of the city’s elite. Cesare, the iron‑fisted signore, is ensnared first, his authority eroded by a longing that renders him a puppet to desire. His heir, a restless scion, succumbs next, the blood‑tide of filial duty turned to murderous ambition. In a brutal inversion of patriarchal order, the son slays Cesare to preempt a decree that would consign the seductress to torture, then repurposes the sanctified basilicas into orgiastic chambers where liturgy is supplanted by carnal rites. The metropolis spirals into a vortex of debauchery, each altar a stage for sacrilege, each fresco a witness to moral decay. As corruption festers, the inevitable herald arrives: Death, cloaked in sable, bearing a pestilence that gnaws at the very foundations of Florentine splendor. The contagion, poised to cascade through the streets, promises an apocalyptic reckoning, sealing the fate of a city that has already bartered its soul for fleeting ecstasy.
Synopsis
Suddenly appearing in Florence, an evil seductress causes Cesare, the city's ruler, and his son to both fall madly in love with her. The son, killing his father before an order to torture the woman can be carried out, then turns the city's churches into dens of sexual debauchery. Acts of evil and corruption continue unabated until the arrival of Death, who brings with her a horrible plague which she is about to loose upon the city.
