Summary
A vibrant, if perilous, odyssey unfolds as the fastidious artist, Harry Sweet, and his perpetually bewildered valet, Charles Conklin, find their European sensibilities jarringly transplanted to the untamed, sun-baked shores of a notorious cannibalistic dominion. Having narrowly escaped a grim culinary fate at the hands of the indigenous inhabitants, their desperate journey homeward aboard a bustling steamship promises a reprieve that is anything but tranquil. Instead, the oceanic passage transforms into a floating menagerie of mayhem, as a cadre of formidable, uncaged lions, having inexplicably broken free from their cargo hold confinement, stalk the vessel's decks. The duo, already frayed by their recent brush with primal savagery, must now navigate the ship's labyrinthine corridors and crowded spaces, employing a desperate blend of wit, agility, and sheer dumb luck to evade the predatory instincts of these majestic, yet terrifying, beasts, all while attempting to maintain some semblance of their former composure amidst the escalating chaos.
