Summary
In a tale of amorous rivalry, Harry Sweet vies for the affections of a fair maiden, only to be eclipsed by a rival suitor. The damsel, however, remains unimpressed by both gentlemen, lamenting the absence of confections from their courtship endeavors. Harry, determined to outdo his adversary, enlists the aid of Pal, his trusty canine companion, to procure a box of sweets. Pal's mission is thwarted when the rival cunningly absconds with the package. Undeterred, Pal concocts a clever ruse, substituting a counterfeit package for the genuine article, thereby dashing the rival's hopes. Enraged, the rival resorts to telephoning a coterie of ruffians to waylay Harry at the maiden's residence. The thugs attempt to dispatch Harry with dynamite, but Pal once again proves instrumental in foiling their plans, thereby securing his master's romantic prospects.
