Champion rodeo rider Richard Thurston is prevented from competing in a rodeo by the event's crooked chairman Riggs, who has bet a sizable amount of money on another rider and doesn't want to take a chance of losing it if Thurston competes and wins. As if that weren't enough, Riggs also frames Thurston for the theft of money from Daisy Hollister, the owner of the ranch where Thurston works.
