Summary
In the wake of their father's demise, Ben Applegate and his siblings Joe and Andy are thrust into a precarious existence, forced to navigate the tribulations of running the family farm under the dubious guardianship of their Uncle Grimes. As Grimes' avaricious intentions become increasingly transparent, the brothers find themselves beset on all sides, with Ben being declared incompetent and his brothers packed off to an orphanage. Yet, in the midst of this unmitigated chaos, an unforeseen source of succor emerges, casting a beacon of hope upon the beleaguered trio.
Synopsis
Ben Applegate's father dies, leaving he and his brothers Joe and Andy orphans and having to run the family farm. Their Uncle Grimes is their legal guardian, but he's only concerned with getting his hands on the farm. He has Ben declared incompetent and packs off Joe and Andy to an orphanage.
