Summary
In this meta-textual exploration of the creative psyche, Walter Lantz portrays himself as a beleaguered illustrator whose studio is besieged by a relentless swarm of vermin. This rodent infestation serves as a visceral metaphor for the myriad distractions that fracture the artistic process. Driven to the precipice of madness, the artist manifests a draconian ultimatum, demanding that his animated progeny—his very own ink-born creations—purge the premises of these interlopers or face their own existential erasure through eviction. What follows is a frantic, rhythmic struggle between the tangible and the illustrative, culminating in a sonic resolution where the timeless archetype of the Pied Piper is re-imagined through the lens of early 20th-century slapstick. The film masterfully deconstructs the hierarchy between creator and creation, utilizing a rhythmic cacophony to lead the unwanted horde into a state of musical exile.
Synopsis
When an artist's creativity is constantly interrupted by mice, he orders two cartoon characters to get ride of them or else they'll be the ones evicted. When all else fails, they use music to lead the mouse horde away.
