Summary
On the precipice of a lifelong commitment to the ostensibly charming Luis Riccardi, Molly Townsend finds her domestic trajectory violently diverted. Moments before the altar beckons, Captain John Locke—a man driven by both romantic rivalry and a clandestine moral compass—unveils Riccardi’s duplicitous life as a marauder and contrabandist. What follows is a frantic maritime exodus toward South American horizons. However, the voyage descends into predatory chaos when a mutinous cohort, led by the savage Jordan, usurps the vessel. Locke, narrowly escaping a watery grave, must navigate a gauntlet of cutthroats to reclaim Molly’s safety, culminating in a legal reckoning for the diamond-thieving conspirators and a restoration of moral equilibrium on the high seas.
Synopsis
Molly Townsend, engaged to Luis Riccardi, learns from Capt. John Locke half an hour before the wedding that Riccardi is a thief and a smuggler. Locke, Riccardi's rival for Molly, persuades Molly to sail away with him in his boat bound for South America. He is thrown overboard by the cutthroat crew, and crew leader Jordan nearly makes her his victim before Locke, who has saved himself, rescues her. Riccardi and Jordan, who murdered a man in the Townsend home and stole a diamond necklace, are both jailed.
