Summary
Amidst the gilded opulence and hushed reverence of a baronial estate, a sacred rite unfolds: the baptism of the firstborn, a moment meant to consecrate lineage and secure a future within the rigid confines of aristocracy. Yet, this solemn occasion is abruptly, almost defiantly, interrupted by the vibrant, untamed symphony of a passing Romani encampment. Their spontaneous music, a cacophony of foreign rhythms and unbridled exuberance, shatters the fragile serenity of the castle grounds. Some, emboldened by their nomadic spirit or perhaps a primal human need, breach the formidable walls, their very presence a stark, living contrast to the meticulously choreographed world within. This intrusion, more than a mere inconvenience, is a potent symbolic clash: the ancient, settled order confronting the eternal wanderer, an encounter that subtly, irrevocably, alters the spiritual and perhaps even genetic trajectory of the infant's destiny, hinting at a future where the wild heart may yet echo within the noble bloodline.
