Honestly, only if you have a massive soft spot for old-school, paper-based comedy. If you’re a fan of vintage shorts like The Cartoon Factory or just enjoy seeing how people lived before everything went digital, this might give you a kick. But if you’re looking for a plot that actually goes anywhere, you’re definitely going to hate it.
The whole thing is just a series of letters being read out loud. That’s it. That’s the movie.
It’s not trying to be high art. It’s just trying to show you how absolutely confused people get when they have to deal with the tax man. Some of these letters are so painfully earnest that you can’t help but wince while you’re laughing.
It reminds me a bit of the frantic energy in Sittin' Pretty, but much, much smaller in scale. It’s a very weird little time capsule.
There is this one moment where they read a letter about a guy who clearly has no idea how the government works. The delivery is so dry it almost feels like a prank. It definitely feels like the kind of thing you’d stumble across on a dusty shelf of reels.
It’s not as polished as The Glimpses of the Moon, but it’s got way more personality than your average corporate training video. It's just a strange, funny little scrap of paper that somebody decided to film. ✉️
Don't look for a deep message here. It’s just people writing dumb things to people in suits. Sometimes, that’s enough.
