Biography
A September baby from Brooklyn—12th, 1895—Alice Lake dove into silent-era celluloid and never looked back. Between 1917’s Come Through and 1922’s I Am the Law, she held the camera hostage with wide-eyed magnetism, sealing her fame in 1921’s The Hole in the Wall. Off-screen, she claimed Robert Williams as her husband. Sunset found her last on 15 November 1967, high on a Hollywood hill, far from the East-coast streets where her story began.
