Biography
St. Patrick’s Day, 1867: while brass bands marched through the streets of Philadelphia, J.P. Lockney drew his first breath in a city already humming with post-war energy. A half-century later he had swapped cobblestones for klieg lights, lending his weathered presence to the high-seas revolt of The Mutiny of the Elsinore (1920), the clashing rapiers of Douglas Fairbanks’ The Three Musketeers (1916), and the quiet heartbreak of Wee Lady Betty (1917).
