Biography
Born under the wide skies of Oregon, Ohio on 3 June 1876, Nanine Wright stepped onto silent screens when movies still whispered without voices. Between 1915 and 1916 she slipped into three starkly different skins: the corruption-exposing reporter of Graft, the mischief-spinning title role in The Flirt, and the puzzle-wrapped heroine of A Child of Mystery. After the final reel closed, she lived on in quiet California sunshine until 23 May 1947.
