Biography
Born among the rolling hills of Redhill, Surrey on 22 August 1865, Templar Saxe grew up to trade quiet English lanes for the clamor of footlights and film sets. First as a writer, then as a commanding presence before the camera, he etched memorable characters into early cinema—most notably in A Case of Eugenics (1915), the sensual melodrama How Women Love (1922), and the swashbuckling Captain Blood (1924). His journey ended on 17 April 1935 in Cincinnati, Ohio, but the flickering images he left behind still whisper his name.
