With the information which she brings, the Confederates turn the table on the Yankees and win a decisive victory. Jane discards her male attire and remains in the Confederate camp as a field nurse. Gregg, the Yankee spy, is seriously wounded and made a prisoner of war. Jane nurses him back to health and promises to wed him after the war is over.
