Barbed Wire

Set against the stark, unforgiving landscape of a French farm converted into a prisoner-of-war camp during World War I, Barbed Wire is a visceral exploration of the psychological boundaries created by conflict. Mona Moreau, a peasant girl whose life is defined by the soil and the absence of her brother at the front, finds her worldview shattered when she is forced to house German laborers. Among them is Oskar Muller, a man whose humanity complicates Mona's ingrained hatred of the 'enemy.'
