Summary
In a darkly humorous twist of fate, a man teetering on the precipice of mortality, having been summarily dismissed by the medical establishment, becomes the unwitting subject of an impromptu, utterly unorthodox "treatment." Two opportunistic burglars, initially intent on a mundane pilfering expedition, stumble into the dire domestic scene and are, through a series of escalating misinterpretations, hailed as the desperately awaited medical savants. What ensues is a masterclass in farcical incompetence as these accidental "physicians," utterly unversed in the delicate art of surgery, wield scalpels and other instruments with an alarming lack of precision, their every move a testament to their profound ignorance of anatomy and procedure. Amidst this medical mayhem, their true predatory instincts are not entirely dormant; they deftly relieve the household of its more portable treasures—gleaming silverware, pocket watches, and other precious trifles—from the pockets and persons of the bewildered, yet trusting, onlookers, who remain blissfully unaware of the true nature of their "saviors."
Synopsis
There is a sick man whom physicians have given up. Enter two burglars who are promptly mistaken for new specialists. They, unused to surgical instruments, manage to handle them in about every way unknown to medical science, meanwhile collecting valuable odds and ends such as silverware and watches from the unsuspecting onlookers.
