Das Skelett
Summary
In the somber chambers of Professor Osiander’s laboratory, where the stark realities of anatomy meet the chilling enigma of mortality, a meticulous dissection unfolds. The esteemed physician, renowned for his diagnostic acumen, is engrossed in the skeletal remains of Cora Gabor, a woman whose demise was anything but natural. Her skull, a silent testament to a life abruptly extinguished, lies beneath his scrutinizing gaze. As the late hours surrender to the oppressive weight of fatigue, Osiander succumbs to slumber, his consciousness slipping from the clinical precision of his work into the phantasmagoric depths of a dream. This nocturnal descent transcends mere rest; it is an involuntary plunge into the subconscious nexus where the 'unnatural death' of Cora Gabor is re-animated, not through the cold logic of science, but through the distorted, symbolic language of the psyche, promising to unravel the macabre truth woven into her very bones.
