Summary
In an audacious bid for climatic solace, Cliff, a robust Jack Tar, abandons the humid shores of the U.S.A. for the parched expanse of Egypt. His desert sojourn, initially marked by camel-back leisure, takes an unexpected turn with an encounter involving Virginia, the intrepid progeny of Professor Newton, whose scholarly pursuits are singularly focused on unearthing the long-lost patellae of King Tutankhamun's inaugural consort. As Cliff endeavors to charm Virginia with his nascent mastery of an Egyptian tootle-pipe, his rendition of the rustic melody 'Red Rot Mamma' is abruptly interrupted. Chief Alababa, a formidable figure at the helm of the Desert Brigands, and a connoisseur of marital expansion, discerns Virginia as an ideal candidate for his forty-third matrimonial acquisition. The ensuing abduction ignites Cliff's inherent naval valor, prompting a guttural 'gobs' war cry that rallies a loyal quartet of fellow Jackies. Their pursuit culminates in a subterranean tomb, the Brigands' clandestine lair. Following a climactic confrontation, the ancient edifice is transformed into a permanent resting place for several new occupants, while Virginia is extricated from peril, her destiny now inextricably linked with a future alongside her seafaring savior.
