From her aerial atelier she lowers clockwork claws to snatch tiaras, hearts, and state secrets while a terrier detective, Baron Leo Torrence, parses cigar smoke for clues. Catania’s rooftops become chess squares; moonlit masks swap identities; the airship itself, a silver-black whale, swallows horizons. Betwixt masquerade balls and rooftop chases, the film pirouettes on a razor: is the thief liberator or succubus? Synopsis
