Summary
In a bold experiment, Harry McCoy takes a chance on reforming a convicted thief, Wanda Wiley, by providing her with a respectable environment and a job as a maid. As Wanda navigates her new surroundings, she becomes determined to seduce Harry, all while dealing with the repercussions of a stolen necklace and her own tarnished reputation. Through a series of calculated manipulations, Wanda skillfully plays on Harry's sympathies, ultimately securing her exoneration and winning his affection. Edward Ludwig's screenplay deftly weaves together themes of redemption, deception, and romance, raising questions about the malleability of human nature and the power of love to transform even the most wayward of souls.
