Summary
In the labyrinthine world of a 1920s dance palace, a love affair between Werner Ehlermann and Erika Heinicke, daughter of his general manager, becomes entangled in a web of familial deceit. Werner’s younger brother, Fritz, orchestrates a cunning scheme, framing General Manager Heinicke for embezzlement, leading to his wrongful imprisonment. Upon his release, the elder Heinicke, consumed by the need to clear his name and restore his honor, embarks on a desperate quest for the truth.
