Moskva v oktyabre (Moscow in October) is a calculated, mechanical reimagining of the 1917 Bolshevik uprising, specifically focusing on the brutal transition of power within the city of Moscow. While Petrograd often steals the historical spotlight, this film serves as a gritty, street-level chronicle of the friction between the revolutionary soldiers and the entrenched White Guard.
