Summary
In a realm where coral cathedrals outshine any mortal basilica, the cerulean outcast Merilla glides through kelp forests that whisper of forbidden transcendence; condemned to finned immortality, she can barter her iridescent tail for trembling legs only by delivering four drowning souls back to the sunlit world. On a moon-bleached night she rescues a callow prince, Hero, whose pulse gallops like a war-drum beneath her salt-cool palms, and suddenly the arithmetic of salvation grows thorny: the fourth life she must haul from the abyss is Princess Leanda, the very woman destined to wed the prince Merilla now helplessly, hopelessly, adores. Synopsis
