The Doughboy

In the chaotic theatre of the Great War, an earnest, if somewhat bumbling, American recruit affectionately known as Snub finds himself deployed to the ravaged landscapes of France. His journey takes an unexpected, poignant turn when, deep behind enemy lines, he stumbles upon a resilient young orphan girl and her vulnerable younger brother. Compelled by a deep-seated humanity, Snub embraces the daunting task of their protector. What ensues is a series of improbable escapades where his unconventional resourcefulness, coupled with the almost farcical ineptitude of the German forces, culminates in a unique, slapstick brand of wartime heroism, proving that even in conflict, compassion and a dash of comedic chaos can prevail.
